My seventh & eighth week of interning…

Omg! These 2 weeks have been crazy busy organising last minute arrangements, creating all the decor for the venue, making sure everyone knows what they are doing and where they are going to be on the day. It has been crazy busy, but exciting too.

I have been writing all the blog entries for Chosen blog, finishing all the posts about our exhibitors that are going to be at the fair. I have also ben interacting with them on Twitter to create more promotion for them and us. As I am helping decorate the venue I have been emailing and working with some of our exhibitors that are going to donate decorations to the display - yay! So have been working closely with the flowers for the room, decorations and added extras.

This week I have also been creating all the goodie bag fillers - the paper fans - that I will post on here. Also been creating more Chosen tags that we are also going to put in the goodie bags - which I am excited about as guests and exhibitors are going to have something that I made - so thats a nice thought. I have also made all the handmade signs for the room so that our guests know where to go on the day.

I have been carrying on with emailing more press about writing about us and promoting them on there website and we have had a lot more people do this! YAY! So thats exciting, we also heard the other day (which I am really excited about) that Millie Macintosh may be attending the Wedding Fair - so we are really excited about that eeeeek!

We have also been working closely with companies that are donating to the goodie bags - which has also been exciting - emailing and receiving free goodies. Us promoting them in return.

These 2 weeks have taught me to be a lot more organised and time management is key when on a time restraint to get everything done. I am so excited for the weekend, to everything that we have worked towards come together! YAY

My sixth week of interning….

Over the weekend me and Kiki went to a wedding fair, it was such a lovely sunny day, was so nice. The fair was held at the Bloomsbury Ballroom in London - and it was absolutely gorgeous!! I was really fun talking and getting to know different exhibitors within the industry, everyone is so nice! And also supporting exhibitors that are going to be at our fair - its lovely that people are starting to remember me and associating me with Chosen. It was also nice to out faces to people I have been emailing and writing blog posts about.

Afterwards we went for a drink well drinks (haha) to make a plan for the week…

And it has been crazy, emailing everyone. As its only 2 weeks till the fair we have been trying to finalise exhibitors, venue decorations, goodie bags, costumes and get the word out about Chosen as much as possible.

I have been carrying on with writing blog posts about each of the exhibitors - then tweeting them after. I really enjoy this as I get to know people within the industry better and also I enjoy putting the blog post together with the images, text and logo.

Also this week I have been sending out our press release to all the other wedding blogs - that we didn’t send one in the post too. Which has ben really exciting as they have started to write about us! YAY! Which was so so exciting because one of them has used my invite design - so it was so nice to see my work on one of the best wedding blogs in the uk. eeeek. Ill post the links so you can see….

This week I have also been emailing different companies to see weather they would like to donate products to our goodie bags that brides will receive on arrival. And I have also been looking for a dress to wear on the day - as me and Kiki thought that we should look similar and carry on with the theme of the day which is going to Marie Antoinette. So thats been exciting eeeeek!

So next week I going to start to make decorations for the venue, I have got to create paper fans, signs, bunting and also I am working with our exhibitors to help decorate the venue with gorgeous displays including flowers, Marie Antoinette tables, balloons, feathers and all things pretty.

Its so excitingggg !

My fifth week of interning….

Omg I really love my job!

This week I have been really busy as the fair is only 3 weeks away now. I have been creating and putting together the press packs - eeeek been so much fun! Then sending them out to the loveliest wedding blogs in the UK, to see if they will hopefully write about Chosen and get the word out more about our event. I will post a picture of the press pack so you can see what it looks like :).

This week I have also designed bother business card specifically for the Chelsea Fair, so that in the lead up to the event, we can give out the card to exhibitors that we see at other wedding fairs - so that they have our information to hopefully contact us to exhibit at Chosen also.

I have also been busy emailing London bakers and cake makers so we can have goodies at the fair - that the brides can enjoy and to also promote the companies themselves to the brides so they offer the option of having their service at their wedding. It has been fun getting to know people in the industry and also looking into exciting unique companies that are making new kinds of treats for example Marshmallow Apothecary - a pop up shop that designs and sell different type of cool marshmallows.

I have been carrying on with writing up blog entries for the exhibitors that are going to be at the Chelsea wedding fair, and also tweeting them , to build up more of a relationship and promoting them at the same time - I really enjoy this!

I have been sending out invitations to bride and grooms to be also - inviting them to the Chelsea fair and encouraging them to register their attendance online so they will receive a goodie bag on arrival - this has been really nice as I have been able to use the digital tag invite design I created, to send to them. Its nice that they get to see my work.

Over the weekend we are going to collect more materials to make paper fans, tags and decorations for the fair - so next week i shall be busy making these. eeeek which will be fun! Im such a loser.

For Greek Concierge this week I have been carrying on with tweeting for them, following more people in the industry and generally helping them build up an online presence. I have been trying to do a blog entry a day but because of Chosen work being so busy I find this hard to keep up with.

Ill post the link so you can see what I have recently being doing for them :)….
